DIGITAL CONTENT CREATOR

MY ROLE 

In my third year of the Bachelor's degree, I had the opportunity of working within the Communications Department as a Content Creator and later also in Future Student Brand Marketing.  

 

I must admit it required rigorous engagement with the work but it was rewarding in being able to capture the raw emotions at graduation ceremonies for my peers by creating content. My learning experience also broadened as I learnt how to use professional softwares such as  Adobe Premiere Pro to create different YouTube videos for email journeys to prospective students. This job role was multifaceted as it required me to interview a lot of students ad-hoc, champion EDI, showcase day to day lives, covering university events to really capture the authentic spirit of my university. One of the most memorable moments was when one of my videos surrounding Spotify Wrapped at University got a comment from Spotify UK themselves. It was so much fun to play around with current trends and memes, and I’m glad I got to mix around the trends with emotional content and to relate to current or future students a lot more.

 

I had a lot of fun filming and editing for social media marketing on Instagram and Tiktok. And our team of 5-7 people made it possible to achieve 6th best University TikTok in the UK, by Nonsensical the TikTok Agency.
