VISIT CANTERBURY 

UNIVERSITY PROJECT 

PROBLEM

 The old website did not effectively communicate the uniqueness of Canterbury, nor did it provide a seamless experience for users seeking information. With rising digital standards, the goal was to rebuild the brand from the ground up while staying true to the city’s heritage.

 

SOLUTION

I developed a refreshed brand identity for Canterbury, anchored by a fully redesigned, user-friendly website and improved navigation. A key element was the new logo, which blends the historic Canterbury Cathedral with the native, often overlooked otter, reflecting local heritage at risk. I chose a blue and purple palette, symbolising tradition and nature, and integrated an AI travel assistant for personalised visitor navigation. This rebrand successfully presented Canterbury’s history through a fresh, modern perspective.
